Happy Mother's Day!

Today is the official day dedicated to celebrating our Mother(s).  We want to wish all of our Plant Chic Moms an extra special Mother's Day this year and we hope you are able to be together.

So much has transpired since we were on lockdown last year and it's nice to be getting back to some sense of "normal". [I'm not even sure what that means...]

We want to wish our small team a super fabulous Mother's Day. Without our Plant Chics Tribe moderator, Tiffany Wilkerson, and our Influencer Relations, Monique Gutierrez, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Tiffany and her beautiful children.

To those of you who no longer have your Mother, we are sending virtual hugs. And to those of you who are motherly figures, we see you too!

We honor you, we love you, and we wish you a magical day! We look forward to the day we can all be together and give each other ginormous hugs!

Happy Mother's Day, Plant Chics!

The THR5 Formula Summit

Lettuce ask you — what does it mean to thrive?

What defines a thriving life?

Does it mean you have to be successful in your career? Is “having it all figured out” a good sign of a thriving life? Do you need to be happy all the time to thrive?

Well, there isn’t an exact answer to those questions.

In general, a thriving life involves a sense of development. That involves acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses and knowing how to manage yourself no matter what situation you're in.

To thrive,

You don't have to be a successful entrepreneur.

You don't need large amounts of money or resources.

You don't have to figure it all out.

To thrive is a continuous process — that of which needs regular ‘sharpening of the saw’. It needs commitment (and a little bit of guidance and self-education)

The THR5 Formula™ Virtual Summit aims to help individuals become a better version of themselves and thrive in different aspects of...

Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!

In honor of #earthday I am sharing a zero-waste food recipe with you.

But first, let’s talk food waste.

Food waste is a big problem. In the US, 63 million tons of food are wasted every year. Food waste accounts for 21 % of all fresh water in the US and takes up 21% of the landfill. It releases a methane gas that is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide and it exhausts our natural resources like water, gas, energy, land, labor, and fertilizers to produce it. We need to be more conscious of what food we buy and how we use it before it goes bad.

I had some carrots that were about to go bad, and I was not feeling like eating them with hummus. I wanted something sweet and then I remembered my carrot cake energy bites! What better way to celebrate Mother Earth Day than with my carrots that were about to go bad and my NutraMilk machine.

I love partnering up with companies that are committed to supporting a sustainable lifestyle. My NutraMilk machine is a zero...

Pasta Alfredo Recipe from our Clubhouse Room

Our Clubhouse room on Friday was lit!! We veganized some recipes, answered questions, and met a lot of amazing peeps! If you're on Clubhouse, make sure you join our Club, Plant Chics!

We ended our Room with a challenge to create a recipe using three ingredients:

White beans

Kalamata olives

We could take this any direction, and someone mentioned pasta, so I decided to make this into a pasta Alfredo. And it does not disappoint.

This creamy pasta Alfredo is really good. The balsamic veggies that I paired it with was the perfect combination of creamy umami richness with a hint of sweet from the balsamic. It was a delicious party in my mouth!

1/2 c cashews (soaked in water for at least 3 hours; discard the water)

1/2 c white beans

3+ cloves of garlic (adjust to your tastebuds)

1/4 t salt

1/4 t black pepper

1/2 t oregano

1/4 c kalamata olives

4 c greens (I used spinach and protein greens)

3 c mushrooms (I used portobello)

Pasta of your choice (I used brown rice pasta)

5 Life Hacks on Thriving

We're sharing 5 life hacks to a thriving life that you probably didn't know about.

Want to get thriving? We all do. The real question here is the HOW.

We've read about it. We hear people talking about it. There are articles, books, podcasts ALL about thriving. (And I bet you have at least tried committing to one of these)

But HOW exactly can you achieve a thriving life?

To get straight to the point, here are LIFE HACKS on THRIVING that you probably didn't know about.

You are What You Eat

Well, you've heard this a lot. And it couldn't be more true. That's why a lot of life coaches encourage people to change their food preferences and focus on more plant-based recipes instead.

“Plants? Gross.”

I'm pretty sure most people would think so too. But it can do wonders not only to your body but also to your mind and emotional health.

Focus on the NOW

Anxiety is driven by unnecessary thoughts of what could happen in the future. No one can actually predict what will happen...
